My Story
Hey! I am Mery, the founder of Terra Uniqua.
I grew up in France, but my curious mind always wanted to explore further.
I lived in Australia, then in the UK for many years…
and since 2009, I have been living in the US with my husband and our two kids.
We call both California and Arizona home.
I started exploring the world at a very young age and never stopped, taking my kids with me to many corners of the globe.
A few years ago, we turned my wildest dream into reality: traveling the world as a family.
For 14 months, we slowly explored Asia and Oceania.
It wasn't about seeing more,
It was about feeling more connected to the places we visited.
My Vision
My travels left me with more than just memories and beautiful pictures; they gave me a sense of responsibility to better understand the world, its cultures, its people, and to contribute to it in a more meaningful way.
Terra Uniqua started with a simple idea: to help travelers connect more deeply with the places they visit while supporting local communities.
After so many wonderful experiences staying with local people, I realized there was a need for a different approach to travel.
That is when the idea of a coaching service came to life, one that prioritizes cultural immersions, authentic experiences, and genuine local interactions.
My dream is to encourage a different way of traveling.
One where you slow down and truly experience a place rather than simply observing it.
One that benefits not only you as a traveler but also the communities you visit.
